WET WILLIE featuring JIMMY HALL
High-energy, Southern Rock
Performance time: 8:30 p.m., Saturday
Wet Willie were, after the Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, the hardest-rocking of the Southern bands to come to national attention in the early '70s. For seven years, from 1971 until 1978, they produced an enviable array of albums awash in good-time music, rollicking high-energy blues-rock, and white Southern soul, and for their trouble they racked up just one Top Ten hit ("Keep On Smilin'") and a lot of admirers.

The band, originally called Fox, got together in Mobile, AL, in 1969 behind the powerful vocals and distinctive sax of Jimmy Hall, with Jimmy's brother Jack on bass and banjo, Ricky Hirsch on lead and slide guitars and mandolin (as well as writing a lot of the songs), Lewis Ross on the skins, and John Anthony (later succeeded by Mike Duke) playing the keyboards. They counted the Rolling Stones and the Animals among their influences, but their sound was closer in spirit to early Otis Redding or Little Richard.

In the 1990s, Wet Willie re-formed around a core of keyboardist John Anthony, guitarist Ricky Hirsch, and Jimmy Hall, with other musicians -- including Smith, Duke, and Lively -- filling out their ranks. In 1996, they were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and, in March of 2001, were inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame.

Groove-oriented music
Performance time: 3:45 p.m., Saturday
Soulhound has been described as “The Meters meets Hendrix meets Steely Dan”. One thing’s for sure, Soulhound are inspired disciples of the groove-oriented R&B, Soul & Greasy Funk of the late sixties & seventies. Their influences range from Tower of Power & Parliament/Funkadelic to Graham Central Station, The Beatles, Phish & Miles Davis. LINGO
Blend of acoustic and electric harmonies
Performance time: 1:45 p.m., Saturday
Lingo's sound is a sophisticated blend of acoustic and electric harmonies with poignant songwriting and killer hooks. Their jams always seem to complement the song, a facet much appreciated by the thoughtful fan.

Opening their album "Through the Scattered Trees" is the prescient song "Bank the World," an upbeat tune with a chorus warning us about money. "Memory" has a funky sound and laments a past relationship. "You're Lost" is a beautiful ballad, while "Afro" is a long instrumental with a lush psychedelic groove and a trance-like beat. "That Fool" swings and soars with a truly amazing hook, and "Agents" explores and upbeat theme that changes on a dime. "Stop is eminently danceable and "Gold" rocks hard. Through the Scattered Trees closes out with "Mightly Plan," an emotional hymn to the power of man.

Weaving throughout the entire album are engaging vocals, driving bass and tasty guitar work. These guys are the real deal- watching them live is a joyous experience!

RICK FERRELL
Edgy Melodies
Performance time: 3 p.m., Sunday
Describing Ricks music with just a few adjectives is a tough task because it comes at you from so many directions. His lyrics strike you first with their penetrating honesty about life and love and the world we live in. When you step back and look at it deeper you realize you are also being drawn in by his beautiful ,melodic and frequently “edgy” melodies, and Rick's voice is as versatile as his songs... sensitive to powerful.

Originally from Portsmouth Ohio Rick came to Nashville to pursue his love, and it didn't take long before he was drawing attention from all the major record labels in town and would sign a deal with Steven Spielberg's company "Dreamworks".. and begin recording an album with legendary record producer James Stroud.

Rick has had songs recorded by a wide range of artist from classic country like Earl Thomas Conley and Eddie Raven to new country like Montgomery/Gentry, Julianne Hough, Jason Michael Carroll, Sarah Darling and Rio Grande. As a songwriter Rick struck gold when superstar Tim McGraw took his song "Something Like That" (the bbq stain song) to 1 for 5 weeks in a row ..and to this day continues to be a main stay on radio.. at the end of 2009 "Something Like That" emerged as the most played song of the decade in any musical genre. Martina McBride also topped the charts with his power ballad "Where Would You Be."
