CONTESTS
Family friendly and fun contests are always hatching at the Alabama Chicken & Egg Festival. We offer a variety of pre-registration events and on-site sign-up competitions for all age groups.
NOTE: Additional contest will be posted as they are arranged.
2010 EGG TOSS CONTEST
Two lines are formed with an equal number of people in each line. Beginning just a couple of feet apart, a raw egg is tossed between each line. Those with unbroken eggs are then moved back further and another toss is made. Distance between the lines is increased until only one pair of contestants is left. Contest is open to three age categories: 8-12 yr. old; 13-18 yr. old; and Adult with child (ages 8 +).
SPONSORS: Southern Family Magazine. Contest is coordinated by the Alabama Extension System.
DEADLINE: 30 Minutes prior to event.
EVENT DATE: Saturday at noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday at 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m.
REGISTRATION FEE: FREE.
EVENT LOCATION: On the Festival grounds.
PRIZES: To be announced.
